Choose a tool for the job you need it to do
Compare a document, a password manager, provider settings and a digital legacy map by the information they hold, who can see it and how you can change or leave the arrangement.

Do you need a list of important matters, a protected place for sign-in secrets, a provider-specific arrangement, or a way to show different people different records? These are separate jobs. A product that solves one may still need to work alongside the others. Judge it by a real example from your situation rather than the longest feature list.
A document or spreadsheet can be a starting point
A simple document can record provider names, locations and wishes. Its sharing and revision controls depend on where you keep it. Before using it, decide how the intended person will find the current version and which copies may continue to exist. Do not turn that convenient list into a collection of complete credentials.
A password manager has a different responsibility
A password manager is designed around sign-in secrets. Recovery and emergency-access options vary by product, so read the provider's current documentation. A list of logins may still leave questions about which document matters, what you would prefer someone to do, or where an original record is held.
Provider settings apply to that provider's account
An account provider may offer its own designated-contact or inactivity settings. Those settings do not organize all your other accounts, paper documents and devices. Keep a record of the arrangement, then use the provider's own process for changing it or making a request.
A digital legacy map connects matters, wishes and people
Rillora organizes important matters and location hints and lets you choose the records and details shared with a recipient. It is intended as a map, not a password vault. Consider this approach when the main problem is helping the right people understand where to start while keeping unrelated matters private.
Check the parts that matter before relying on it
Try a harmless example. Check the recipient's view, whether they can use the web, how to revoke access and what happens to existing copies. Read the storage and recovery explanation, export options, current price and cancellation terms. An information-sharing feature should not be presented as legal authority, guaranteed account access or an automatic transfer of ownership.
